Which look fits your business?
Ask Mrs. NetShow about this

A NetShow agent can wear any of eight looks. Each one is a living face that greets your visitors by voice and answers from what you teach it. The choice is about style, not about what the agent can do.
This post is a quick picker. It will not describe each look at length. The looks page does that better, because you can watch each one move. Here you get two questions to ask yourself, and a short list to match your answers against.
The eight, by name
These are the names the looks page prints, in its order:
- ASCII mascot
- Sketchline
- Sketchline color
- SVG
- Sketchline SVG
- 2D
- 3D
- Hybrid
Every tile on that page has a Try it link. Tap a look to see the host wear it; where a look cannot move on your device, its Try it link shows it moving. You do not need an account to look around. Meeting and trying are free; saving an agent to NetShow needs an account.
Question one: what kind of business are you?
Start with how your business already looks to the world. Your avatar should feel like it belongs on your website and in your shop.
You have a mascot, or a playful brand. Look at ASCII mascot. It puts animated eyes, a nose, a mouth and brows over a robot or mascot picture. A cheerful shop, a game store or a kids' class can wear it well.
Your work is made by hand. Look at Sketchline and Sketchline color. Both are drawn faces with a hand-made line. Sketchline color adds tinted brows, a colored iris and a lip fill. A bakery, a tattoo studio or a florist often fits here.
Your brand is clean and modern. Look at SVG and Sketchline SVG. Both sit on a crisp vector body that stays sharp at any size. A software firm, an accountant or a design agency often starts here.
You show up on a screen or a stream. Look at 2D. The looks page calls it an expressive two-dimensional face for a screen or stream.
You want the full presence in a lobby or showroom. Look at 3D. It is a rigged 3D body wearing the living face. It suits a big screen, a kiosk or a projector in a place people walk past.
People buy from a person. Look at Hybrid. It starts from a real face and paints a living layer over it. A clinic, a consultant or a real estate agent may want a face that feels personal.
These pairings are starting points, not rules. Any look works for any business. Try two or three before you decide.
Question two: what do your visitors carry?
Your avatar is drawn by your visitor's own browser. It is not streamed from a server. That is why the face has no per-minute meter. It also means the visitor's device matters.
NetShow handles that for you. In the words of the looks page, your phone picks the fastest look it can run:
- A slow phone gets a light text face that still talks.
- A middling phone or laptop gets a face drawn in ink.
- A strong computer, like a recent Mac, gets the full 3D face.
So you never have to pick a look that only works on new devices. If most of your visitors come on older phones, they still meet a face that moves smoothly. If your avatar runs on a strong computer in your front window, it can show the full 3D body.
A simple way to use this: open the looks page on the phone you carry, then on the oldest phone you can find. Watch what each one draws. That is roughly what your visitors will see.
Things that stay the same, whichever look you pick
The look changes how your agent appears. It does not change what your agent does.
- It speaks first. The hello is there before your visitor types a word.
- It listens only after a tap. The microphone opens only when a visitor presses Talk, and the browser asks for permission first.
- It answers from what you teach it: your services, your hours, your answers.
If you want help choosing, our team can set it up with you. The looks page says it plainly: done for you by our team, on your site, checked to work.
FAQ
Do I have to pick just one look?
You pick the look your agent wears. Your visitor's device then picks the fastest look it can run, so some visitors may see a lighter face than others. The agent behind the face is the same.
Can I see the looks before I sign up?
Yes. Every tile on the looks page has a Try it link, and trying needs no account.
Which look is best for phones?
Any of the eight. Your visitor's phone picks the fastest look it can run, so a small phone still gets a face that moves smoothly.
Can I change my mind later?
The face is chosen when you create the agent, and both preview lanes cost nothing, so take your time there. Our change how it looks guide says honestly what can be changed afterwards.
See the eight looks move
Reading about a look only goes so far. The looks page shows all eight side by side, each with its name and one line about it. Tap a look to see the host wear it, and each Try it link opens that look in a new tab. Pick the two that feel most like your business and try each one on your own phone. Then open them on a laptop and see what each device draws. When one of them feels right, you know which look to choose when you create your agent.
