NetShow Character License

What you own when you download a character you made on NetShow, in every look from ASCII to 3D.

Version 1.1, 5 October 2026. It covers every look a NetShow character can wear, from ASCII to 3D, and builds on version 1.0 of 27 September 2026.

Who this is between

  • NetShow: NetShow AI, an American business in Laguna Niguel, Orange County, California.
  • You: the person or business that made the character on NetShow and owns the agent it belongs to.

The looks it covers

A NetShow character can wear these looks. This license covers each one you download.

  1. ASCII: a live face made of letters.
  2. Sketch line: a living pencil line.
  3. ASCII on a sketched body.
  4. SVG: a drawn vector character.
  5. Hybrid live face: live eyes and mouth over a drawing.
  6. 2D: a whole flat character with arms and legs.
  7. 3D: a rigged 3D body.
  8. 3D plus: the 3D body for the strongest devices.
  9. Live human avatar: a realistic human face streamed live by Google. It is a live service, not a file, so it is never in a download.

Letters in motion (your character's words as its body) is covered the same way.

What is yours

The character you made from NetShow's bases is yours, for personal and commercial use. That is:

  • its name;
  • its look choices: face, colours, hair, skin, eyes, body shape and outfit;
  • its expressions and poses;
  • its greeting and personality;
  • the recipe that records all of this.

What stays NetShow's

NetShow keeps its bases, rigs and engines:

  • the base bodies and faces, including the NetShow Originals (Knox, Dash, Vera and Skye) and the toon family;
  • the rigs, face shapes and animation clips;
  • the engines that draw, move and voice a character in each look.

You get a license to use them as part of your character, for as long as you like.

What you may do

  1. Use your character anywhere, for personal and commercial use: on NetShow, on your own website and apps, in videos, streams and games, in other apps and agent harnesses, on your own servers, and fully offline.
  2. Change it, re-export it and rebuild it.
  3. Share or sell your finished character, with the NetShow parts kept inside it. This includes the NetShow character marketplace.

What is never in a download

  • Models NetShow bought from other makers. They are for NetShow's own use and never leave NetShow.
  • Anything under a non-commercial license.
  • The live human avatar of look 9.
  • The photo a character was made from, its face landmarks, or a consent record.

Where a part cannot travel, the kit says so and carries a reference instead. Your character still works on NetShow.

Parts with their own license

Some parts come from outside creators under open licenses that allow commercial use. The kit lists each one with its license. Those terms travel with that part, and where they differ from this license, they apply to that part.

What NetShow may do

  • Host, store, render and run your character on NetShow, so your agent can show it and speak with it.
  • Show it where your agent appears and in NetShow showcases. Ask us to stop featuring it in showcases and we will.

What you may not do

  1. Don't resell or give away NetShow's bases, rigs or engines on their own, or offer them as templates, bases or asset packs for other people.
  2. Don't claim NetShow's bases, rigs or engines as your own work.
  3. Don't use a character to impersonate a real person or to deceive people.
  4. No real person's likeness without consent. If your character is made from, or looks like, a real person, it is you or you hold that person's permission. A character made from a photo downloads only after that consent is recorded, and its use stays within that consent.

It says it is an AI

When your character talks to people, it tells them it is an AI.

How long it lasts

It keeps working offline, on other platforms, if NetShow is unreachable, and after you leave NetShow. For characters you have downloaded, it ends only if you break the "may not" rules above.

No warranty

Your character and its parts are provided as they are, without warranty. NetShow's total liability under this license is limited to what you paid NetShow for the character, if anything.

In plain words, with the terms every agent is made under: Who owns the characters you make.
